Finally, a classy broad in the news. One of my favorite ladies, Lynne Cheney is being considered to take over for the late Craig Thomas, according to The Politico.
Lynne Cheney, wife of Vice President Dick Cheney, is being floated in Senate GOP leadership circles as a possible replacement for the late Sen. Craig Thomas (R-Wyo.), who died Monday night. Susan Thomas, the late senator's wife, has also been mentioned by Senate Republicans as a potential choice to take over for her husband, as well as former Justice Department official Tom Sansonetti.
One GOP insider said Lynne Cheney had been in Washington "too long" to be acceptable to the Wyoming GOP, despite her long resume, although that would change if Cheney were to return to Wyoming on a full-time basis. Susan Thomas is reportedly not interested in serving out her husband's term.
Maybe a move like this can springboard into a late 2008 ticket of....(wait for it)
JEB BUSH
LYNNE CHENEY
Now that's a ticket I can get behind!

GHL,
A few comments and questions. Initially, Jeb Bush's political career has likely plateaued. Some suffer by guilt from association, he suffers from guilt by relation. Given his brother's current approval rating, do you really think Jeb has any possibility of being elected to national office? At the this juncture, don't you believe it likely that America has had enough of the family Bush?
For the same reason, Lynne Cheney, being married to the current VP, also has no shot of being elected, even if she were inclined to run for office which I doubt.
I sense that you are a strong supporter of the current administration. Even if that is so, do not confuse your own beliefs for the current pulse of the country.
Question: Why do you believe that Donald Rumsfeld was the greatest Secretary of Defense in history? As one of the primary architects of the invasion of Iraq, you may rely on historians having a different view of him, unless you believe that the war in Iraq is an unqualified success which would probably place you in a minority of one.
Meanwhile, I see that you continue to visit the censor and hater of the First Amendment, yankee doodle.
Whereas there is much not to like about Michael Moore, nothing that I have found out about indicates that he is either a socialist or a homosexual. Can you cite some facts to support your position? Don't worry, I did not take your suggestion that he should be shot literally.
